Attorneys vs. Law

If I ever needed a lawyer, and my friend Gregory Hammond, Esq. had something better to do, I would want the law firm of Powers Phillips on my side. From their website:

Slow-going Importing

I have imported entries from Fluxray into Goodtype at about one month per hour. At this rate, I'll be done … someday.

Wall Street vs. Logic

Wall Street analysts weren't moved by the prospects of Apple's wares this year. Conversly, news reporters noted favorably the new hardware, software, and webware available to the seven percent of US computer owners using Macs. Once the analysts post bail, pay their fines, and return to being productive members of society, I'll pay more attention.

The Look of Letterpress

Well, hey ... imagine that. Keynote, our new presentation software, has a theme called Letterpress that is exactly what I want to do with Goodtype. Actually, so is living the iLife, surfing with Safari, and typing with Textpattern. Innovation and creativity is good, even when someone else is doing it for you.

Big Day Tomorrow

Steve (Mr. Jobs to you) begins his keynote presentation tomorrow. I interview for something interesting at campus. And in between I get a haircut. No wonder I can't sleep.

How to Be a "User"

"If I order your computer online, I won't have to pay taxes." "What will you throw in for free?" "My hard drive crashed and you never told me I have to back up; how are you goind to fix this?" If you want to be a user, rather than a customer, always expect more for less, don't be bothered with a "please" or "thank you," and never be accountable for your own actions (or lack thereof). Nothing is your fault. Everyone is against you. And life, thankfully, will end soon enough.

Surfing Without Kelp

Software that surfs the internet without a browser is a pleasure. All the crap floating about -- ads, Flash, useless diversions -- are washed away in Watson, Sherlock, NetNewsWire (from which I'm posting right now). Sublime.

Ticketstubs

I've saved every ticket stub from every event I've attended in the past five years. I have no idea why. At least, I didn't until this site came upon the net. Simple, fun idea.
