Created by Meg Hourihan, published by Nick Denton, and designed -- in part -- by 37Signals, Kinja scores some favorable press from The Times despite its launch on April Fool's Day. Travelocity Redesign
Travelocity redesigned its site and visual identity this week. "Findings indicated that consumers viewed online travel sites as visually crowded, with too many offers and features competing for their attention," according to the press release. Michael Sippey investigates. Overall, the site is easier to use, nicer to view, and more helpful for travelers. Unfortunately, the logo, though far better than the original, looks as if it's the fifth-grade winner of The National Design-a-Logo Contest.
